Great aromas of ripe black fruits
Our Selección Platino is made of Tempranillo, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, picked from the oldest vines in the Terra Alta. In order to get the best aromas and flavours, the grapes are harvested in mid-September. The grapes are picked during the night when temperatures are low, ensuring no oxidation takes place and no fruit is lost. After harvesting, a cold process is used in the clarifying of the wine. No filtration is used, thus maintaining all the aromas and fruits. Our Gran Reserva remains in French and American oak barrels for a minimum of 24 months. The wine continues its ageing in the bottle for about 36 months, until the tannins mellow and it achieves its characteristic bouquet.
Casa Safra Selección Platino has an intense deep red color and persistent tears. Great aromas of ripe black fruits, caramel and chocolate. Full and rich taste that is nicely balanced with the long and persistent bouquet.
