Our most popular wine
Our Gran Reserva is one of our most popular wines. The hand-picked grapes originate from a small vineyard in Terra Alta. The wine is made of traditionally grown and slightly overripe Tempranillo and Grenache grapes. We blend them with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, hand-picked at optimal maturity. During 24 months this wine remains in French and American oak barrels. The wine continues its ageing in the bottle for about 36 months, until the tannins mellow and it achieves its characteristic bouquet.
Casa Safra Gran Reserva is a very intense deep red wine with an exuberant taste of ripe black fruits and vanilla from the oak ageing. The tannins are dry and balanced, giving the wine a long and persistent finish.
